  • Richard Petty

Seven-time NASCAR champ and seven-time winner of the Daytona 500, Richard Petty has been synonymous with racing for more than 50 years. Known as the "King of NASCAR", he holds the career record for victories, Top 5 finishes, starts, and pole positions. The consummate race driver, Richard is respected by both competitors and fans for his demeanor on (and off) the track. In this four-disc set, "The King" has created an audio scrapbook that's a virtual time capsule of stock car racings colorful past. Richard sits down with Hall of Fame announcer Barney Hall and shares numerous anecdotes of his legendary career from the early days of bootleggers running on dirt tracks, to the modern era of the speedways. Featured in these volumes is insightful commentary from Richard's long time crew chief, Dale Inman, as well as guest appearances by Lynda Petty, Junior Johnson, Bobby Allison, and David Pearson, sharing personal memories of their years in the sport. Also included are race calls from some of Richard's most memorable moments - including the dramatic finish of the 1976 Daytona 500, and his horrifying crash in the 1988 Firecracker 400.
